Facebook New Company Brand

Facebook, has rebranded. It first started as a social media network but in the last 15 years has grown beyond that and today it is launching a new company brand to distinguish the Facebook company from the Facebook App.

Just like the similar approach Google took when the mother company became Alphabet. The Facebook approach of the new branding was designed for clarity. While the “FACEBOOK” company logo is capitalized, the “Facebook” app won’t be. This is to create a visual distinction between the company and the app.


Let’s not forget that Facebook’s main services have now grown to includes, Instagram, Whatsapp, Oculus, Calibra, Workspace, Portal and Messenger. Over the coming weeks, Facebook will start using the new brand within its products and marketing materials.
