Flaticon Logo Redesign
Flat Icon, one of the leading icon resource websites recently redesigned its logo. Flaticon was founded in 2013 and it is one of the three engaging resource websites under the Freepik Company. The other resource websites are Freepik and Slidesgo. Freepik is a search engine that helps users find high-quality photos, vector images, illustrations, and PSD files for their creative projects while Slidego which was created in 2019 offers an extensive catalog of free slide themes and templates for creative presentations.

This logo redesign has been getting a lot of positive reviews online and also in the design community. According to a post on its website, it was stated that;
We kept the isotype concept and the logotype, only we switched from caps to lowercase, since other logotypes are like this. You can see that we simplified most of the lines, so it looks cleaner and more up-to-date with current trends.
When it comes to the font, we use the same typography across all our projects: Mark Pro Bold. Lastly, we changed one of the colors and went for a slightly darker tone – #4AD295, to enhance the contrast in some apps and to create a more accessible logo. The second color remains the same- #0E2A47.
The redesign was done because they wanted to continue to unify their brand and make sure that each project is recognizable by its user. We have observed that there have been some upgrades in the UI/UX of both Freepik and Flaticon website recently and I must say that these upgrades have made the experience of using these websites much easier.
